One of my favorite neighbors has finally gotten off his ass and started blogging. If you're interested in seeing DC through the eyes of a local who spends the better part of his spring taking fat midwesterners through the various local attractions for money.... well, you get my drift.

I met with twenty or so developers recently, for an hour, to give them my programmer-turned-manager advice about scheduling software releases. In retrospect, talking about scheduling without talking more about scoping made the conversation less useful than it otherwise might have been. Unfortunately, I hadn't rehearsed anything, but I'm working on that now.
